Welcome
to Year 1/2 (Class 2)
Miss Wilde
Meet your teacher
My name is Miss Wilde and I am really looking forward to being your new teacher. I have been a teacher for 24 years and have been fortunate to have taught from FS1 to Year 6. The majority of my experience is in EYFS and KS1 and I absolutely love teaching young children. I know we will have lots of fun learning new things together. I have a daughter and a son who I enjoy spending time with. We like going on days out, swimming and playing in the park. I enjoy netball, watching the Lionesses and being outdoors.
Meet your Teaching Assistant
Mrs French
Hello, I am Mrs French and I am very much looking forward to moving with you into Class 2, and supporting you there. I have worked at Foljambe Primary for nearly 2 years, but have nearly 25 years experience in primary education, both as a teacher and a teaching assistant.
I have four children between the ages of 18 and 21, and a pet tortoise named ‘Tiny’. I love spending time with my children, and enjoy walks, shopping, pottering in my garden and reading (when I have time!).
I can’t wait to work with you all again in September, and look forward to helping you dream big, show pride and do your very best!
Mrs Ramsey
Hi, My name is Mrs Ramsey. I have been a TA for around 1 1/2 years. I love helping children grow and thrive in school. Outside of school I enjoy watching rugby, especially when my son is playing. I support Wakefield Trinity. When I have some spare time away from rugby I enjoy crocheting. I love make small animals and other stuffed toys. I also have a little dog called Annie. She is a 7 year old Shih Tzu.
Areas of Learning
Throughout the year we will be going on a learning journey, it will start with us exploring the woodland around us and learning about the animals who live there. Then we will learn about people who help us in our community from the lollipop lady to the police. We will then move onto learning about traditional tales such as The Three Little Pigs etc. Next, we’ll learn about growing plants/ vegetables which will leads us into talking about farms and farm animals, Then as we get closer to the Summer term we’ll talk about holidays and the animals that live under the sea.
