On Thursday 9th November the children of Foljambe Primary School welcomed children’s author Jenny York for an afternoon of storytelling magic.
Key Stage 1 and 2 were enraptured with her storytelling and were eager to hear of her top tips for story writing. Jenny encouraged everyone to catch their story idea sparkle and see where it took them. During her session she even managed to turn Mrs Irvine into a squirrel!
The children were surprised to learn that Jenny took seven attempts to write her very first book…just as the Foljambe Way says: We are prepared to make mistakes!
