One of our students, Billie, was recently away for a family wedding. Whilst playing around the pool, Billie saw a 4-year-old boy get into difficulty in the water. With no hesitation, Billie jumped in and helped the little boy – and saved him from difficulty.
Local charity, Sam’s Army, met with Billie to give her a certificate and medal for her bravery.
Everyone at Foljambe is super proud of Billie and her quick thinking for saving the little boy – what an amazing thing to do!
Jackie Heydon, Headteacher at Foljambe Primary School, said: “Billie, we are so proud of you and want to give you a shout out. Whilst away on holiday, you helped a child struggling in the water; you have been recognised for your bravery and determination to help. Well done!”
