Foljambe Turns 70!

On the 6th of November 2024, we celebrated the 70th Anniversary of our wonderful school, Foljambe Primary. Our day included balloons, buns, whole school photographs, and every student made a flag for our bunting. We also had an assembly learning all about the history of our school, right back from when it opened in 1954. Mrs Lawrey even had some of the original documents from the official opening. The children were able to look at the documents and discuss how the school has changed. We even found out that the school was initially an infant school for up to 240 Key Stage One children.

At Foljambe we believe that Local history and heritage studies can bring enormous benefits for children and young people, well done everyone!
