This week, Class 2 have been exploring length and height. They have measured objects using non standard units such as paper clips, and cubes. The children learnt that for accurate measuring, they must line the objects up and measure from the start line.
They now know that when comparing length, they need to use the same unit to measure. The children particularly had a lot fun ordering the whole class by height. They even used mathematical vocabulary and sentence stems to measure and compare.
